@businessinsider: Goldman Sachs has crowned its newest class of partners. The storied financial institution announced it elevated 109 executives to one of Wall Street's most coveted titles — the largest class since 2010. Thursday's announcement continues the bank's tradition of selecting a group of leaders every two years, usually in early November. Making partner at Goldman is a major career milestone. The title is paired with lucrative financial rewards, influence over the bank's direction, and one of Wall Street's most coveted titles. It's also not easy. Making the cut requires years of hard work and achievements, along with an intense review process known internally as "cross-ruffing," a nod to the card game bridge.
