@addisyter1: 🚨 5 MINUTES TO ARREST AN ARTIST. 30 MINUTES TO RESPOND TO A SHOOTING. 🚨 @NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani — WE NEED ANSWERS. Yesterday, an artist who was drawing a portrait of Jarvis Frimpong on the church where Jarvis was killed was arrested. Let’s be clear: according to what happened at the scene, this man wasn’t carrying a weapon. He wasn’t selling drugs. He wasn’t threatening anyone. He wasn’t committing violence. He was drawing. ✍️ And yet, it reportedly took NYPD only about 5 minutes to respond and arrest him. But when Jarvis Frimpong was shot, why did it reportedly take approximately 30 minutes for police to respond? 30 MINUTES. That contrast raises serious questions that deserve serious answers. How can police respond so quickly when an artist is drawing a tribute to a young man who lost his life, yet the response to the shooting itself reportedly took far longer? WHERE ARE THE PRIORITIES? WHERE IS THE URGENCY? WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR JARVIS? We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for equal protection, accountability, transparency, and justice. 📢 MESSAGE TO THE NYPD: The community is watching. We want answers about the response to Jarvis’s shooting and answers about yesterday’s arrest. 📢 MESSAGE TO MAYOR ZOHRAN MAMDANI: You are now being called upon to listen to this community. We demand accountability. We demand transparency. And above all, we demand justice for Jarvis Frimpong. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED. 🇬🇭✊🏾
