It is clear that his background heavily shaped his mindset. He was raised in an environment surrounded by trauma and war, and then went through intense military training. To him, committing such a horrific act almost seems normalized like it’s no big deal because of the violence he witnessed and experienced growing up. He was essentially conditioned from a young age to disconnect from human emotion and act without remorse. While I am not deeply familiar with every detail of the case, he is undeniably a highly dangerous individual. I truly hope the court does not allow him to use an insanity plea to escape full accountability for what he did.
