As someone who got European friends who visited India, the constant bugging and following of the locals were just borderline harassment. Not to mention, the scammers jfc. I was lucky I was an Asian male. Theyd just stare at me trying to figure out what kind of Asian I was (always mistaken as Chinese.). But my European friends? My white female friends had it worse. Much worse. We had to be shielded by our tour guides (who were very helpful, thank goodness)

not super female friendly, not always access to Western toilets, and I literally couldn’t breathe in New Delhi. I also have never been sicker than I was in India 😭😭

i think its beautiful and i love the diversity of languages and food but its not safe for women. female friends who have been always have been harassed or assaulted. cant speak for men, but as a woman, ill avoid it until women have better experiences.
