So that is fraud. To bill as an “office visit” via telehealth, it had to be a 15 min video visit and not a phone call. Phone calls are not billable. I work for a provider in North Jersey who does this crap. He says to the billers to try it and if the patient’s bitch to reverse the charge (and that is illegal by the way). This is what you do, please! Right a google review and tell people they do that in this office. Then write a letter to the office and tell them you will report fraud to the insurance unless they show you proof that they used a HIPAA approved televideo platform and that you have prove in your phone that is was only a phone call and the time length!
