@xllr8ing: I've shared this a few years ago, but in case you didn't know--- your video game console (Xbox) can be integrated into your smart home. Allowing you to have a seamless integration as to if you want to share game clips or if you want to monitor your kids' gaming and create automations to tell you if and when they are playing. With Home Assistant, it's as easy as Devices & Services > Add integration > Microsoft > Xbox. From there, you're integrated. Want to know if the kids are sneaking and gaming when they do homework?? Created an automation when the game comes on it sends you a notification to your phone or across your TV. Kids off to college and want to share a game clip? Go to the system like I did above, find the game, then watch the clips. I am not certain on your capabilities for Playstation, though I do see PS4 as an option.
