So relatable—it’s exhausting. I think once people get to know you, even in a parasocial context, it becomes pretty clear that you generally aren’t coming from a place of judgment. Sure, sometimes people leave ridiculous comments and you respond with sarcasm, but honestly, that’s often warranted. 😂 I personally appreciate direct communication, which probably has a lot to do with my ASD and ADHD. I also think there’s an important distinction between having a different perspective and being judgmental or gossipy. You can disagree with how someone handled a situation, discuss those differences with others, and even validate someone’s experience without attacking another person’s character. You can genuinely care about someone, value their friendship, and still disagree with their choices or behaviors.

I'm 30 years younger than all my colleagues at my new practice and I am so tired everyday from trying to figure out how to interact with everybody without seeming weird. Have not succeeded.

Try not thinking about it and just be you. You’re very likable but honestly it’s your honesty and you got your shit together. You are one of them people that brings out other people’s best behavior. When they gossip, what they are telling you a partial edited version. You don’t want to fit in. Fitting in is cheating, getting divorced, having your car repoed. It’s poppin pills, ignoring you family, and pumpkin spice coffee. It’s full make-up for an 8am game in the school gym. It’s about the picture they can post. It’s fake but it’s who they are. That’s not you. You can’t cuz it’s exhausting. You would never need prison cuz if you did something bad you would create your own. It’s not you as much as it’s the world. I hope this makes sense. It probably won’t
