@iowa.repair.shop: MECHANICS, I NEED YOUR HELP! 🔧 I'm looking for someone who really knows their way around an oscilloscope! We know the basics, but I want to take our diagnostic skills to the next level and get a few of my guys properly trained. If you're an experienced trainer or know someone who could come out to our shop and teach us, let me know! We're always looking to learn and improve! #IowaRepairShop #DieselMechanic #DieselDiagnostics #Oscilloscope #TruckRepair #HeavyDutyRepair #OwnerOperator #TruckingIndustry #MechanicTok

I’ve worked on Freightliners/wester-stars for 15 years at a dealer and never once needed a oscilloscope.

I used to be a sun trainer for a siloscopes. I know a silloscopes, forward and backwards. How are you gonna use it? What are you gonna use it for then? The other thing is, how big of a screen do you have to put enough information on at 1 time? If you want to put like 8 cylinders on, you need a scope that you can go-between parade or be able to stack the patterns of all 8 cylinders parade. Can usually tell you which cylinder is missing. You can look at burn time at each cylinder. You can look at coil output coil oscillations. All that stuff, you can also useilloscope to check anything, electrical sensors, and then you need to know the difference between your sensors, a hall effect switch or a permanent magnet generator so I don't know what you're asking. But I'll gladly help you with anything. Understanding a siloscope is much better than a scanner. A scanner gives you a code, but it doesn 't tell you what's wrong. We're in a siloscope like you said, once you learn how to read it, you know what's wrong with the vehicle, just from the pattern

I’m a diesel tech like yourself and use a scope on a daily basis. It’s simple, but that FNRISI scope you have wont give you conclusive data. You want the best scope? Pico 4425a. That’s what I have. They’re expensive but worth it. Shoot me a message any time
