I quit a 3 year oxy habbit cold turkey 10 years ago. I went to many doctors and no one would help me so I said screw it and did it myself. it wasn't easy but im glad I got my life back and no longer worrying where my next pill will come from. its good to be free.

6 years sober without AA just flat out cold turkey after the major rock bottom. I personally think AA isn’t a great way to quit as it talks about everyone’s past, reminding how many days, and so many discussions about the drinking. It’s a constant reminder of the drinking. The best way is never talk about it, avoid the discussion, help forget the drinking.

When I went to a meeting it made me want to drink more. So I quit going and drinking. Hardest thing you’ll do but it’s easy if you don’t pick up a drink!
