@lucibodnar: Regent Street Christmas lights are officially on for 2026. I was there tonight, 5 November, when the Spirit of Christmas angels lit up above Regent Street and fireworks went off over the crowd. The road was closed for the switch-on, so for a few minutes one of central London’s busiest streets became one enormous viewing area. Regent Street has been putting up Christmas lights since 1954, when it became the first major central London street to do it. The current flying Spirit design has been used since 2016. If you’re visiting London over the next couple of months, this is one of the easiest Christmas displays to see, Regent Street, just off Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. And yes, they look considerably better in person than they do through a phone. @Regent Street #londonchristmas #christmaslights #london #londonchristmas
