coming off of breast-feeding cannot be left out of the picture either.

CTE could be an explanation for her symptoms but not that timeline

as a former d1 soccer player who specialized in heading, i incurred countless concussions and learned to lie to keep playing. mental health went downhill at 23. i suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm at 33. my neurologist thinks I'm a strong and likely candidate for CTE, and I'm involved in studies. we are trying to find a way to diagnose before death.

I honestly think that she’s autistic and has adhd- when she explains her experiences with Prozac and why she had anxiety it matches with me

you add this to DV/narcissistic abuse, you have serious brain injury

Also — very interesting when you think about the domestic violence and crimes that have resulted from past football players with CTE

CPTSD can also show as bipolar disorder. And from my understanding, one of the ways you can get that is from narcissistic abuse. Not saying anyone is or has anything. Just an interesting point.

This is so incredibly interesting and like all other medical conditions it is under studied in women. We never looked at how CTE and the hormonal changes of pregnancy intertwine.

Do we know how CTE specifically impacts women ? We know that estrogen can change the brain so much. Postpartum hormones could really impact how/when and why symptoms are expressed.

I made this same argument with someone critiquing Lindsay, that men were so hard to defend Aaron Hernandez and CTE research, yet she possesses so many of the same symptoms

Makes sense in the way that she obsessively logged their schedules. What if she was forgetting things?

I have been wondering if her lack of wrist breaks is related to cheerleading, I know some people instinctually tuck and roll instead of extending hands, would that be normal for a cheerleader?

My cousin has brain damage because of concussions playing soccer. She had to go through a lot of rehab and it messed her up for awhile. I wouldn’t put too much theory myself but I wouldn’t discount it. Lindseys loss of 15lbs is still one of the more mind blowing things that happened in the lead up. From my understanding and what I saw supporting post partum women, stopping breastfeeding is a major trigger for weight gain because the calories aren’t going to the baby anymore. The lack of worry and curiosity from so many medical professionals is astonishing.

I'm pretty sure historic head injuries/TBI can also impact/compound the severity in symptoms of mental illness. and TBI in and of itself can have a wide range of symptoms that can vary from individual to individual.

You can only diagnose CTE after death. So we may never know for sure.

it doesn’t necessarily have to be CTE. any kind of brain damage has the potential to increase one’s predilection to aggression and impulsivity, and thus violence.

What if she just severe anxiety and depression in the postpartum period from her relationship and being a solo parent and the stress a third child added. What if she was unwell and had extreme anxiety (i lost 40 pounds in four weeks with my severe PPD anxiety because you feel too anxious to eat), my parents thought i had cancer. i think two things can be true, that she was really struggling, that the one med that could have helped her successfully navigate the awful bumpy period starting anti/depressants was weaponized against her (benzos) so she couldn’t stick with anything because of the awful side effects. She was unwell and she didn’t do it
