MoleMan35 :

I carried a Saint Michael medallion around my neck every deployment. I also had a Saint Christopher medallion, a cross someone made out of metal and silk, and a card that said "I'm Catholic, if anything happens to me call a priest" stuffed under the pads of my ACH.

Chicago Enthusiast :

Every side thinks god is with them but God couldn’t care less what government you serve. Government is an earthly man made concern

Izak! :

Saint Micheal is the patron saint of the Marine Corps in it's entirety

Douglas Armand :

Fun fact, 251 years ago George Washington forbade the Continental Army from celebrating Guy Fawkes Day since it would insult his Catholic troops. Catholics have been in the army from the very very beginning

Alma :

When my husband was overseas I would send him all types of religious statues, rosaries , other things, I know he wasn’t religious but he definitely accepted any kind of religious items that meant a lot to me , it was the way I felt I could protect him when no one else could

soonracoon :

Going to mass in filthy sweaty cammies on deployment is an experience i’ll never forget. After that I never felt compelled to dress up super nice for mass because that deployment showed me what mass is really about. ⛪️

the_outsidermusic_ :

They gotta believe in some

jvanx28 :
