Hi, new revert here. Do I have to wear prayer clothes to pray or can I just wear something that covers me such as a hoodie and loose pants? I have yet to get traditional prayer clothes. It’s hard to find in my area

I mean both Arab males and women wore khimar to protect from the harsh desert but Allah just told the women to use that khimar and cover their chest bc their tops used to be low cut. I dont think this rule was to make all women from diff cultures and times cover their head with a khimar like Arabs did. I think the Arab scholars injected their misogynistic and Arabian ideas into interpretation and ppl have used it to opress and weaponize it against women. Also the slave Muslim women didn’t wear it even when they prayed so idk

@WalwalA I was always told “if you can’t pray in the clothes you wear outside you shouldn’t wear it” mffffff men do that shit all the time but right I forgot God only loves their body not ours so they can pray however whenever! we can’t tho ofc because God made us and then made our periods impure and made us cover up!!!!
