@thescenenm: All four U.S. states bordering Mexico are set to have Democratic governors following the November 3, 2026, midterm elections. In Texas, Democrat Gina Hinojosa defeated Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, changing the party controlling the governor’s office. In New Mexico, Democrat Deb Haaland was elected to succeed Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, keeping the office under Democratic leadership. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs won re-election, while Democrat Xavier Becerra was elected to succeed California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The results mean California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas will all have Democratic governors once the newly elected officials take office. VIA: KOB 4
