and this is exactly why we need to be taxing the rich on their properties, even a 2% annual extra tax on the value of this property would bring in tens or even hundreds of millions with all these houses the rich owners just "forget" about and if they are rich enough to forget it they can sure afford to pay a couple tens of thousands yearly
