@tallow.app: Your milk is hiding seed oils. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so it goes into milk as an oil-based premix. BASF sells its vitamin A + D3 blend for milk in sunflower oil, and patents for milk premixes use corn or soybean oil. FDA's milk standard (21 CFR 131.110) allows "carriers for vitamins A and D," and the label doesn't have to name them. 6 milk brands list vitamin D3 without naming the carrier oil: Horizon Organic, Organic Valley, a2 Milk Company, Kirkland Signature, Publix, Great Value. Kalona SuperNatural's cream-top whole milk adds no vitamin D3 at all. One ingredient: organic milk. Same for Alexandre Family Farm A2/A2 Cream Top. Both score 100 on Tallow. These are trace amounts, a few milligrams of oil per quart next to about 32 grams of milk fat. Not cause for concern. But worth knowing if you want to avoid seed oils completely. Scan your milk on Tallow, link in bio.
