@emilylyoness1: I believe people can change. And I believe we’re allowed to have boundaries about someone’s past. But isn’t it funny how our own mistakes come with a whole backstory, while everyone else’s seem to speak for themselves? Cheating is wrong. Regret doesn’t erase the hurt. But I wonder, if we’re all hoping to be loved for who we’ve become, why are we so determined to date people as though they’re still who they were? ❤️
Correction: he has to maintain his DOUBLE standard 😅

If he had never cheated it's a very normal boundary not wanting someone who did. But he did the same so he is being judging for her but not for himself.

Are these conversations real because the men are diabolically immature. Please tell me this is staged. 😳

"I've never really thought about it that way" is MIND-BLOWING. 😳 what other way is there to look at it if you did the same thing? His internal belief system entitled him to a pass and condemned her without a second thought.

Excuse me, the audacity of this man! Rebecca was honest, but he didn’t even bother to ask any questions! Well he judged her 🤦🏻♀️but don’t want to be judged! Make it make sense 🤦🏻♀️

He projected his own internalized shame on Rebecca. He feels like he’s a bad person therefore assumed someone who’s made the same mistake must also be a bad person

If the guy needs to be handheld to understand how other people might think and feel, that's an emotionally immature man. Huge red flag.

One of the many excuses that men make to justify affairs is to tell the AP partner that the ‘marriage is over’. It’s not ‘over’ until you are officially divorced. Maybe this guy needs to deal with his own failures first before blaming someone else for theirs.

I agreed with him at first bc I dont want someone who cheated in the past but then he said "well thats different" when she brought up his cheating...and then I was like NOPE! If you cheated in the past..don't expect to have a 100% faithful partner!

this man is the reason I stopped dating... they always seem to want to excuse themselves but convict you. People make mistakes, people hurt AND get hurt. if I were this woman I would hear him out and then decline any further contact- he has alot of work to do on himself.
