@orphaneddaughterllc: Life keeps going, even when the people you wish were here to experience it are gone. You get older. Life changes. Good things happen. Bad things happen. You make new memories, reach milestones, and somehow keep moving forward. But there’s always someone missing. For me, it’s my Mom and Dad. My Dad has been gone for over 21 years now, and my Mom for almost a year and a half. And no matter how much time passes, I still find myself thinking about everything they’ve missed. Everything I wish they could have been here for. And that’s something about grief that doesn’t really change. You can learn to live with their absence, find reasons to laugh again, and even feel happiness. But none of that makes you stop wishing they were here. Because sometimes, right in the middle of an otherwise good day, it hits you. They’re not here. And there’s still so much life left that I wish I could share with them.
