@reuters: Democrats' midterm sweep has cemented a new front in the battle for political influence: livestreaming, where left-leaning creators such as Hasan Piker are building audiences to rival the personalities who propelled Republicans to victory in 2024. #hasanpiker #livestreaming #midterms #politics #election

rootandresponse :

48 y/o mom. I’ve been listening for a while. My 24-year-old son is a twitch streamer, that’s how I found Hasan. As a young Gen X, I’m telling you the way he speaks and talks about issues is 100% in alignment with not just me, but our whole family. As a mom of four sons and one daughter, all in their 20s, he uses the same type of casual, frustrated, sometimes cynical language that we all use. His content is extremely accessible and relatable. We want real issues fixed, we want equality, we want an end to racism, and we are tired of elite liberal ideology.

I watch him and over 70

M!A :

I'm 58 and am grateful for all of the hard work Hasan has put in to get younger people involved. It's frustrating to see so many people take things he said out of context and try to smear him with it.
