it is beautiful to me how the mercy and hope that she could show him during her grief and his guilt is in and of itself the goodness that can come from that tragedy. her faith shared with him, and the story of impossibly unconditional love must have done so much good for the hearts of all those who knew them. that goodness came from this tragedy because of the faith, love, and mercy that they got from the Lord and shared with each other.
