I’m ngl kids bond with you when they play with you. You can also use it to teach them new facts and skills. I realised when playing with my child and seeing how happy it made them that I have absolutely no memory of my parents playing with me which I find really sad☹️my son can play independently but loves getting me involved. I don’t mean to guilt trip you but just something to think about :)

Absolutely agree with this. Kids need to self play and learn how to be independent in that way. I don’t go to the playground to play I take my kids so they can play.

a reason why I love Bluey. The episodes resemble the dedicated 7ish minutes of play the heelers have with their kids. Never compare bc maybe the other mom was in her 7 mins of play :)

I really hate playing forreal 😭😭 I love that my son is 6 now, we play uno, chess, checkers, old maid, but something about that imaginary play…I wonder if it’s cause my mom didn’t play with me loll. I used to do imaginary play for about 20 minutes at a time. That’s all I had 😭
