I totally agree. My son is 13. He likes having long (unpainted) fingernails and he is growing out his hair because he likes long hair. He doesn’t like sports, besides running. Sometimes he tells me that he doesn’t feel like a “boy” because his interests aren’t overtly masculine. I’ve told him there are so many ways to be a boy or a girl and maybe society wants to put him in a box because he appreciates some “feminine traits” but he can still be a boy. It’s unfortunate that a lot of the boys he interacts with make him feel less “masculine,” but I remind him that the rules are fluid. He can be whatever he wants. He wants to be a boy with long fingernails, long hair, not athletic, and that’s totally fine by me.

Tytyty! As a woman who has a genetic disorder where I am sterile and I don’t ovulate as a teen I said “I hate dresses, I don’t have periods and I have basically no tits, I’m basically a man!” My doctor laughed and said “what you like doesn’t define your gender honey.” Thank GOD she said that because 33 years later I’m still happily a woman just living my life

Amen!!!! My son when he was little loved nail polish and pink, and that’s exactly what he was: a little boy loving nail polish and pink – btw he still loves pink at 10, nail polish not so much since a støøpid kid made fun of him at school 😞

My youngest daughter was always a Tom boy, even from a young age under my Landrover fixing it with me and covered in oil. She was happy and is now living with her boyfriend and I have two granddaughters. We just let her grow the way she wanted and supported her and be happy. Love your content x

Thank you. My daughter will get her nails and hair done and immediately go fishing. She is allowed. And my son asked for baby dolls as a child, I got them for him, and he’s an amazing parent now. I love all your videos and how you educate people

Just have a look at ALOK on the “Man Enough “ podcast where he talks about fashion labels through the lens of history. Very interesting. You don’t have to agree with everything however, there are some truths in there that can challenge traditional views on what is acceptable fashion.
