I’m a huge tipper. What I don’t like is pre tipping 25% or more and not getting the order or it’s misdelivered or directions not followed. Tip should come after… based on your service

I tip 2 dollar a mile, with a $5 minimum but I add tip after if they follow the instructions. The amount of times I’ve had dashers ignore them and deliver it to an apartment on the other side of my complex and I’m too disabled to go get it. I also message them as soon as they accept saying “hey, I will tip after it’s delivered! Please make sure to read the instructions!” If I have to wheel myself across a complex no tip, but if they follow the instructions then I tip good.

What pisses me off is when they see no tip, they freak out over it and throw a huge hissy fit over it. Some people tip cash. I'd prefer to tip cash, but I don't want them tampering with my food 🙄

I personally do not accept orders under 6 dollars or a dollar a mile or upside down. And when DD sends it back to me 2 more times I know it’s probably not getting picked up

It’s wild to me that people think because it’s a service through an app, that it isn’t real people doing this service for you. On their own time, their own gas, their own wear and tear of their vehicles and as if they are not doing this to earn money. Time is money with DoorDash. Tips are what pays us. This isn’t a free service. Paying for dashpass on the app isn’t paying your dasher.

first off its wild that we have to tip before services rendered, 2nd you will take what i give you. ive clocked out delivery drivers as a manager and seen them make a third of my check in 1 day on the regular. yall are fine
