@mothershipsg: forever the goat in our hearts 🐐 Cristiano Ronaldo announced his retirement from the Portugal team on Nov. 5. “The day has come for me to hand back the number 7 shirt of our national team,” he said in an Instagram post, adding that the decision was not an easy one. “It was not an easy decision, because there are decisions that are not made only with the head. They are also made with the heart,” he said. “If I ever made you happy, if one of my goals ever made you hug someone, forget a worry or feel proud of our country, then it was all worth it.” Ronaldo also thanked his teammates, coaches and others he worked with over the years. “Portugal will always be a part of me,” he said. Ronaldo captained Portugal to their 1st major trophy at Euro 2016 and also helped them win the 2019 and 2025 editions of the Nations League. He made a total of 234 appearances for Portugal and scored 146 goals.  Photo from Reuters #mothershipabroad #cristianoronaldo #fyp
