Judge April Perry in Chicago ruled that consumers could reasonably believe a product called "McRib" — shaped like a rack of ribs with moulded ridges — would contain actual rib meat. It doesn't. The lawsuit alleges the patty is restructured pork made from shoulder, heart, tripe, and stomach — lower-grade cuts pressed into a rib shape and sold at a premium price. 72% of consumers polled expected the McRib to contain rib meat. 67% said it was important to their decision to buy it.
