@nic0le3_: We could really use some extra prayers right now. 🙏❤️ Danny’s creatinine has hit a bit of a stall at 2.6, up from 2.4 last week. His BUN has crept up a little, and his eGFR has dropped slightly. His tacro level is also high, so the hope is that adjusting his dose will help bring things back in the right direction. We’ll repeat labs after the dose adjustment, and if things haven’t improved, the next step may be considering a kidney biopsy. As you can imagine, after everything it took to get to this point, every little change in labs brings a wave of emotions. We’re trying to stay positive, take things one day at a time, and trust the process. ❤️ We’d love to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar after transplant. Did your creatinine stall or fluctuate in the beginning? Did adjusting your tacro dose make a difference? Did you end up needing a biopsy? We know every transplant journey is different, but hearing others’ experiences can make this road feel a little less lonely. Please keep Danny and his new kidney in your prayers. We are so grateful for this second chance and are praying this is just a little bump in the road. 🙏❤️ #KidneyTransplant #TransplantJourney #KidneyWarrior #PostTransplant #PrayerWarriors

My husband had a kidney transplant and his initial labs looked good but a couple of months later his creatinine and BUN jumped up. His drs said the change was attributed to the native kidneys had finally stopped working totally so the new kidney was doing all the work. A few months later all labs had stabilized and his new kidney worked for 14 years with stable numbers. His death was from something else unrelated to the kidney.

Praying. My husband had a kidney and pancreas transplant. His kidney took a few weeks to kick in and work. He has experienced 2 rejects between the pancreas and kidney. I hope his team can help find a way to level his numbers

My first kidney transplant was 2004 and overwhelming with complications about a month post transplant I experienced my first rejection creatinine slightly jumped did the biopsy confirmed it was BK virus and medication doses changed. For 22 years I managed to keep the kidney function stable, on 10/15/26 I received my second kidney transplant.

I'm there too. I'm a month and a half post-transplant, and they are ready to give up on the kidney I got. I caught 3 viruses, and they're preventing my body from producing red blood cells. been in and out of the hospital for 3 weeks, getting blood transfusions. Very frustrating!

Was it a deceased donor kidney that he received? If so, was it slow to wake up? My 3rd transplant was a deceased donor kidney that was slow to wake up and it took about 9-10 months to truly stabilize. In the beginning my creatinine was staying high, then it finally went down to 1.6-1.8 and stayed there for a bit before gradually decreasing to .99. It has gone back up since to 1.4 because I’m dealing with other issues, and that may be my new normal.

transplanted in March of 2026. My baseline range has been 1.3 to 1.7. I have had 4 uti's requiring hospitalization. That said my last reading was 1.28 with a gfr of 60! Age 70. still trying to get to the bottom of the infections. Will do a turp 11/12. If that does not work they will look at my native kidneys that both have non-obstructive stones in them. Pseudomonus. Thankful my kidneys are hanging in there. I keep saying - keep fighting. I hate getting tunneled lines and all the IV antibiotics to take but will do what I have to. Also had to have a colostomy 2 weeks after transplant. Hoping to have that reversed but the infections are a higher priority.
