@lebonk562: Behind California’s death-row commutation announcement are names including Charles Ng, Randy Kraft, Marcus Wesson, Cary Stayner, Richard Allen Davis and Chester Turner. Newsom says he will replace the state’s 548 death sentences with life without parole; many cases still require California Supreme Court approval, AP reports. Ng was convicted of 11 murders; Kraft of 16; Wesson of nine family murders; and Stayner killed four women near Yosemite. Davis kidnapped and murdered 12-year-old Polly Klaas. Turner was already on death row for 10 murders when he received four additional death sentences in 2014, AP reported. None of them are being released. Life without parole means they stay in prison, and many of the commutations still need court approval. #California #GavinNewsom #DeathRow #VictimsMatter
