I FOUND AN ABANDONED STONE COTTAGE ON A CLIFF... AND REBUILT IT FROM NOTHING 🏔️ LOCATION: Remote mountain cliff. 1000ft drop into a valley. Built into solid rock with a 360° view. THE HOUSE: 100-year-old Abandoned Stone Cottage Renovation THE FULL TRANSFORMATION STORY: This is what happens when you refuse to let beauty die. When I first found this place, the roof was collapsed, the deck was rotting, and the inside was full of dirt and debris. But the stone walls were still strong. The location was perfect. PHASE 1: THE EXTERIOR First, we had to save the structure. We tore off the old moss-covered roof and built a brand new wooden frame. Then we installed a modern metal roof that will last 50 years. Next, we rebuilt the wooden deck that hangs over the cliff. New railings for safety. New stone stairs leading up to it. Then came the power. Because there are no power lines here, we installed solar panels right on the roof. Now this cottage is 100% off-grid. PHASE 2: THE INTERIOR Inside was a mess. Dirt floor, broken beams, dust everywhere. Step 1: Demo and clean everything out. Step 2: Level the floor and prep for new wood. Step 3: The goal is a rustic-modern interior with exposed stone walls and wooden beams. PHASE 3: THE FINAL TOUCHES We added outdoor furniture to the deck. Potted plants. Lights. Now at sunset, this place glows. You can sit on the deck and watch the entire valley turn gold. MATERIALS USED: Natural Stone, Wooden Beams, Metal Roofing, Solar Panels, Wooden Deck, Stone Pavers. WHY I DID THIS: Because some places deserve a second chance. Because building with your hands is therapy. Because waking up here is worth every cut and bruise. This is more than a house. This is a sanctuary on the edge of the world. Would you live here? Comment
