@mason.taylor149: Crispy skin coated in honey glaze, tender and juicy inside! Easy enough for beginners with an air fryer ✨ 🌼 Ingredients ▪️ One whole three-yellow chicken (or deboned chicken thighs) ▪️ Garlic, ginger, scallions ▪️ Light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine, honey 🍯 ▪️ Black pepper, white sesame seeds 👩🏻‍🍳 Method (just 4 simple steps!) 1️⃣ Marinate the chicken: Tenderize the chicken with the back of a knife and poke holes ・2 tbsp light soy sauce + 2 tbsp dark soy sauce + 1 tbsp cooking wine + 1 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp sugar ・Ginger, scallions + black pepper Mix well and marinate for two hours ⏳ (the longer the better) 2⃣️ Prep for roasting: Stuff the chicken cavity with apple chunks / onion (adds aroma) Tie the drumsticks with kitchen twine to hold shape Brush the surface with a honey-oil mixture 3️⃣ Make the honey glaze: 1 tbsp honey ➕ 1 tbsp BBQ sauce ➕ appropriate amount of water Mix well 4️⃣ Roasting: Place breast-side up in the air fryer, wrapped in foil 190°C roast for 30 min, flip and brush with honey glaze Roast for another 20 min, finally roast skin-side up for 5 min to brown ✅ 💡 Pro tips: ▪️ Pat the skin dry! Otherwise it won't crisp up ▪️ Line the tray with potatoes / carrots — they soak up the chicken fat and are amazing ▪️ Let it rest 10 minutes before slicing to lock in the juices Tearing apart the whole chicken to eat is so satisfying! It'll definitely get compliments when served at a dinner party 👏

Transparency post: I’m literally fighting God on posting this because I think crying videos are kind of cringe, but I have to be obedient bc I know it’s for someone. Going to church with my special-needs son has been a big struggle so that’s why I don’t have a home church at the moment, today, I thought I’d try to go to a new church that was recommended to me and unfortunately, Cairo couldn’t last the entire service so we had to leave early. I completely broke down feeling so discouraged, thinking why would God have led me here? But then it hit me, God is gonna get the glory in this entire situation, which is why he’s been calling me to document the special needs content with Cairo. I ended up watching the churches sermon online & man did God speak to my situation… the title of the sermon was “it’s not over.” The pastor emphasized how theres hope for the weeds in your garden. Whatever your weeds are, (mine being my situation with my son) God can ultimately use everything for his good. Something that’s stuck out to me that the pastor said is that it’s ok to not be ok. Too many christians are too busy trying to appear to have it all together rather than being vulnerable and transparent, showing the reality that we are not always going to have it all together. True humility is recognizing we need Jesus bc we alone are weak. But with him, we have his strength, his peace and his joy through every trial. I know there is a purpose for the pain. And who knows my trials could be the thing that heals someone else. So I would trust God whether he’s going to redeem my situation or use it for his good, I trust his plans.
