My ex wife did this to me 19 years ago. I used my VA loan from serving this country to build us a 5 bedroom home. I ended up catching her with another man. She despised me so much for catching her, that she went downtown and got a bogus restraining order. I was blindsided at work with a protection order and they followed me to my home to get whatever I could and I never returned. She went to my job and had a private meeting and I was terminated. I lost EVERYTHING including my career and relationship with our daughter. She never apologized or acknowledged she lied on me. I had to go live with my parents after hitting rock bottom. We divorced 18yrs ago and I can honestly say I WILL NEVER MARRY AGAIN. This has been the best 18yrs of my life. Everything i lost, I've gained 10 times over. Men, don't do this to yourselves. Don't think this can't happen to you. All of my married male friends are suffering in silence. I'm so at peace with my single life, make great money, have all the toys a man could want and have company when I feel like it.

this happened to me but I wasn't married! me and my girlfriend got into an argument about her smoking cigarettes in my house. i grabbed the cigarette and threw it outside. she called the police and said I assaulted her. she was drunk with no marks or injuries. she told the police she didn't want to press charges and the police told her if she doesn't press charges and sign a statement they would arrest her for a false report! they came to my house i own arrested me. and handed her my house and everything i own lol. I went to jail and had to live at my mother's house while she lived in my house with access to my bank account. I had to file an eviction to get her out of my house! the charges were dismissed. protect yourself men!
