@blackgirlswhobrunch: #greenscreen Gina put a Republican on her transition committee and this Republican loathing liberal kinda loves it 🤷🏾♀️. I typically hate when they do this but this makes a lot of sense to me.
she also has to be a governor for several terms. that's the aim. that this can be a long time change. we're setting foundations and making strategic decisions! we literally cannot run this state alone

I think we also have to give her time. We cannot expect her to change all of these wrongdoing that has occurred for decades.

The first two years unfortunately she has to start fixing education and affordability, along with medical care and the power grid. After that she has to start working on the Texas military department, TxDoT, public transportation, and technology development and lay the foundation for whoever is next or started working on her next election and if she gets elected again then she can fully implement Texas as a blue state

Idk if it’s possible cause it’s a different position but one of my main takeaways from Mamdani’s administration is his very good use of YouTube and social media to be transparent about his decisions and ideas. It really serves to humanize decisions to the public and keep them informed. Hope that’s maybe a possibility for her and her team but again I might be being dumb cause a governor has a lot more to do 😅

Governing is different than campaigning. And yes, she will be governor for Texas. And thx for that explanation bc the voucher crap was HUGE in rejecting Abbott imo.

This will take years to establish rock solid programs and to change the trajectory of Texas. Most people will want change over night and instantly. Understand that these things will take time. We are undoing all the destruction and damage that has occurred and building something new.

Great message! We don’t want Gina to be a one term governor! I am hoping she stays more in the moderate lane. She will still achieve the big goals we all agree on even in that lane. 💙

She can work with republicans without hiring one. Would a republican hire a democrat? We take the high road then they come in and do what they want. But I love Gina and will trust what she is doing.

Yes the expectations are very high and people will be upset because it’s not snap crackle and pop. I get it we are just ready for change.

Great analysis! Pelosi was an effective legislative leader because she understood the importance of building coalitions and working with Republicans, I think Gina does too.

Love the analysis- I think it’s a smart pick; he sounds like someone who can bridge that gap between her and people who otherwise wouldn’t give her the time of day. Additionally, I believe that good leaders don’t just hire yes men- someone who is principled but who simply disagrees on policy is a good pick. He can be the balanced perspective in the room that helps her see all POVs of an issue.
