Eric Dane’s Posthumous Memoir Describes A Heated Clash With Josh Duhamel On The Las Vegas Set Eric Dane wrote about a tense moment with Josh Duhamel in his posthumous memoir, My Book of Days. Dane, who d*ed in February during a battle with ALS at age 53, described a 2004 guest role on Las Vegas. He played Leo Broder in season 2. According to the memoir, Dane was dealing with a herniated disc in his neck. Before a fight scene, he wrote, he asked Duhamel not to grab him by the tie. He says Duhamel promised he wouldn’t. Dane wrote that Duhamel pulled the tie anyway. It happened again on take two. Dane said he told the producer, “You better rein in your boy.” He wrote that Duhamel apologized and admitted he “got caught up in the moment.” On take three, Dane wrote, Duhamel grabbed the tie again. Dane says he took off his suit coat, balled his hands into fists, and came at him. He wrote that the camera kept rolling, and he looked like the one who started it. Dane also wrote that things cooled down over the years. “Josh and I have seen each other since and we’re cool,” he wrote. “Josh, I was wrong. I should’ve walked away. I’m sorry, dude.” In a September interview, Duhamel, also 53, said he used a method approach for his role as a former Marine returning from Iraq. He said it was “probably not the healthiest way to get into that head space.” Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Duhamel’s representative for comment on Dane’s book. Do you think Dane’s apology settles it? #ericdane #joshduhamel #lasvegas #book #hollywood
