What is the limit for bringing more people into the country. Will the limit be 80 million or 90 million or 100 million?

And what about the >£6K I’ve paid since 2017 into the NHS SOLELY via the IHS fee due at point of visa application? That’s not including application fees or the amount I’ve paid in taxes since meeting the tax threshold. Or the amount I’ve paid in rent and council tax and other bills. Now I’ll be made to wait an additional 4-5 YEARS to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain? I’ll have lived here for ~15 years at that point. Paid various fees for 6 visas and paid taxes for the entire time I met the threshold: ~8 years. How is that FAIR?

If they ever apply retrospectively from 5 to 10 years, if some migrants volunteer to leave the UK, the government should refund their annual tax money 💰 into their pocket first. Even if that ever happen, it is still not fair enough.

Why do people think that paying taxes means they’ve contributed? If I take out £2,000 but pay £500 in tax, I have not contributed. Some people are contributors, some aren’t. This proposal helps those who have, by shortening the period for settlement, but extends it for those who haven’t (so taxpayers aren’t asked to finance their cost of living here). I think it should go further but you can’t argue this is unfair.
