@jess_raisingtinyreaders: One of the many ways in which we working on blending skills, which are the foundation of reading. 📖 IMPORTANT: Read the caption entirely before starting to teach your child. Once your child has mastered letter sounds, you're ready to move on to blending consonant, vowel, consonant (cvc) words. *There is a correct letter learning order and some combination to avoid when first teaching blending. Initial order - a, m, s, t, p, f, i, n *Don't practice words with "am" or "an" endings, as they make a nasalized sound that's different than the true /a/ sound. Sample words to start with: at, mat, sat, pat, fat, map, sap, in, pin, fin

This is how you teach reading!!! Don’t rush her through “school” but the foundation you’re creating today will serve her so well! As a veteran teacher and mom to college graduates who have always been high achieving readers, PARENTS are and should be children’s primary teachers. Well done!!🌟📚🥰

this is amazing because the five year-old that I used to be working with couldn’t even do this on her own. Like genuinely I was worried about her….
