We need to stop making the “middle class” responsible for all that going wrong in the country. Everything is the middle class fault. The “middle class” does not outnumber people in the kasi. If they had taken this responsibility seriously and gone to vote, we wouldn’t be here now

Another thing I'd like you to discuss with people is how political fragmentation affects voting power. In my view, white and Coloured voters often seem to rally behind a smaller number of major parties, while Black voters are spread across many different political parties. That division can make it harder for Black voters to consolidate their voting power. Take KwaZulu-Natal, for example. A significant portion of the vote is split between parties such as MK, the IFP and the ANC, alongside several other parties. In the Western Cape, the DA has historically had a much stronger, more consolidated support base. Now compare that with Johannesburg and the broader Gauteng political landscape: when voters who might otherwise support similar political interests divide their votes among several parties, it can create an advantage for a party whose support is more concentrated. I'm not saying everyone should vote for one party, or that people should abandon their political preferences. I'm saying we need to have an honest conversation about what happens when our votes are fragmented, how that affects political representation, and whether we understand the consequences of that fragmentation
