@kalro__farm: Why choose Juncao grass for your livestock? 🌱🐄 Juncao grass is a good fodder option for farmers because of its several benefits: * High protein content: Contains approximately 18–19% crude protein, depending on maturity and growing conditions. * Fast growth: Regrows quickly after harvesting, allowing multiple harvests. * High yields: Produces large quantities of green fodder when properly managed. * Good palatability: Cattle and other livestock readily consume it when properly harvested. * Multiple uses: Suitable for dairy cows, beef cattle, goats and sheep. * Reduces feeding costs: Helps reduce dependence on expensive commercial feeds. * Repeated harvesting: Can provide a continuous supply of fodder with proper water and nutrient management. * Drought tolerance: Can tolerate some dry conditions once established, although it performs best with adequate moisture. Why farmers should consider Juncao: It offers a combination of fast regrowth, good nutritional value and high fodder production, making it a useful option for livestock farming. 🌱 KALRO Delamere Farm Shop – Quality Juncao cuttings available at KSh 10 per cutting.
