@loving.tusks: 💔 HELP US SAVE ONgPHOU. HE WAS LEFT OUT IN THE RAIN LAST NIGHT, CHAINED AND WITH NOWHERE TO HIDE. Last night, Ongphou was left outside in the pouring rain, tied down by chains with no shelter to protect him. While the rain fell, he had nowhere to go, nowhere to hide and nobody to comfort him. It was heartbreaking to see him forgotten like this. 💔 We wanted so desperately to remove those chains and give him even a little freedom, but his owner had the keys. We couldn't unlock them. We had to leave knowing that Ongphou was still chained, still exposed to the rain and still waiting for the day someone would finally come to change his life. How much longer must he endure this? How many more nights must he spend chained, exposed to the elements, without the freedom every elephant deserves? We don't want to keep visiting Ongphou and finding him suffering. We want to bring him HOME. We want to break those chains, give him shelter, proper care, nutritious food and the peaceful life he has been denied for so long. But we cannot do this alone. We need people who care, people who are willing to stand beside Ongphou and become part of his journey to freedom. 🙏 Please join Ongphou's rescue story. Every contribution brings us closer to changing his life. If you would like to help us rescue him, please inbox us here on TikTok for donation details. He has waited long enough. Please don't let another rainy night pass with Ongphou still chained and forgotten. 💔🐘 Laos Giants Together, we can give Ongphou the freedom he deserves.

@laine:@Mayu770:Elephants are the largest living land animals. Three living species are currently recognised: the African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana), the African forest elephant (L. cyclotis), and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus). They are the only surviving members of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea; extinct relatives include mammoths and mastodons. Distinctive features of elephants include a long proboscis called a trunk, tusks, large ear flaps, pillar-like legs, and tough but sensitive grey skin. The trunk is prehensile, bringing food and water to the mouth and grasping objects. Tusks, which are derived from the incisor teeth, serve both as weapons and as tools for moving objects and digging. The large ear flaps assist in maintaining a constant body temperature as well as in communication. African elephants have larger ears and concave backs, whereas Asian elephants have smaller ears and convex or level backs.
