@vicbaybei: 1. Round ligament pain – sharp, stabbing pain in lower belly or groin. It happens when your uterus is growing quickly and the ligaments stretch, usually in the 2nd trimester. It’s uncomfortable but totally normal, and a sign your baby is developing. 2. Braxton Hicks contractions – feeling your belly tighten randomly. This is your uterus practicing for labor, starting around the middle of the 2nd trimester. It’s a good sign that your muscles are getting ready. 3. Pelvic or hip pressure and aches – feeling like baby is pushing down. When baby drops lower into the pelvis and hormones loosen joints, these sensations happen. It usually occurs late in pregnancy and means your body is preparing for delivery. Remember, mild pains that improve with rest or warmth are normal. But call your doctor if pain is severe, doesn’t go away, or if you notice bleeding, water break, or baby’s movements decrease.
