i know you mean well but as a white person you don’t get to decide if something is racist or not to chinese people. just because everyone did it doesn’t mean it’s right - i was born 2005 and lived next to a chinese restaurant and my dad would use the word every day because we lived right next to it and it always came up, so growing up i genuinely thought that was the only word for it cause i never heard any other word… its common knowledge that’s a slur now so if anyone is still saying it now then it definitely isn’t coming from a place of “happy happy happy”. honestly you should feel very privileged and protected that you get to describe someone else’s slur as something that is “happy happy happy”

The thing is you can’t really judge who’s going to win based on the crowd. In 2023 the whole crowd was chanting Trish for the win during eviction night, and then she was the one to be voted out.
