CA hasn't actually used the death penalty since 06 and most die waiting to die 🤣 the death penalty really doesn't serve any purpose as it doesn't serve as a warning for new killers and it doesn't really change the fact that most on death row wanna die and personally I don't wanna give them that pleasure. It's also a primitive practice. We need more funding put to why ppl do monster acts and what can be done to prevent before they act.

This will save California money especially since they haven’t executed anyone in over 20 years. The trial alone cost $2-3 million then housing an inmate cost more for a death row inmate. They also take up court time wi the appeal after appeal. The money it was going to take to redo San Quinton was going to be expensive too.
