@antoniusamano: This whole amazing experience started with a TikTok video. lol I saw a video about running the NYC Marathon through a charity and thought to myself, I can raise that! And the rest is history.🙃🙃 Disclaimer: It's my first marathon, so please bear with me if I get a little dramatic. I promise I'Il try to keep it together. 😂 I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who shared their hard-earned money to support Team For Kids and help make my bucket-list dream come true. I also had to put my savings on pause to chip in a little more. But hey, I did this to myself! 😂 Thank you for being part of it! Training wasn't exactly a smooth ride. I lost my motivation during the summer, which is why I went to the Philippines last July to reset and find my groove again. Thank goodness, it worked! Then, just weeks before the marathon - peak of my training, a knee injury forced me to stop running for two weeks. My longest training run was only 16 miles. Not ideal, but somehow, we made it! Race day. I started cramping somewhere between miles 12 and 21. LMAOOO. (1st Ave was roughhhhh 😂😂) Those nine miles were a battle of their own, but somehow, I kept moving and made it to the finish line!🥺 To my running buddies: I owe you so much. You kept me motivated when I didn't have it in me. Thank you! The voice notes! I listened to them mile after mile as if I were on an actual phone call. I was talking back😂They kept my mind occupied and my legs moving. Thank you! And to everyone who came out to cheer, made signs, printed shirts, and ran around to catch me along the course: You kept me alive. In pain, but alive. 😭 I never felt so appreciated and loved. Thank you! From a random TikTok video to running 26.2 miles through NYC. What a ride! I couldn't have done it without all of you. 🩷🩷 on to the next! 👀👀😂😂
