I know layering can sometimes seem like a lot of steps, but there’s actually a little science behind it. It starts from the very first step: your shower. Think scented body wash, followed by a matching or complementary body lotion/body butter, then a body mist or scented deodorant, and finally, your perfume on top. The magic happens when all of these scents come together and interact with your individual body chemistry. You’re essentially creating a scent that is uniquely yours, beyond what a single perfume bottle can offer. Sometimes, the right body lotion or mist can amplify certain notes in your perfume, bring out different facets of the fragrance, or make certain notes stand out even more.
