I do cat rescue and would highly recommend asking the vet to try a new medication called GingiPro with him. It’s literally a miracle worker for cats with stomatitis. It was originally meant to help with breakthrough cases of stomatitis that flares up still after full mouth teeth extractions but people have since used it successfully for cats with stomatitis who haven’t had surgery - some because they can’t safely undergo anesthesia. One of my foster cats started it and oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to explain how much of a miracle it has been, literally life changing for her! She has no inflammation or pain when on it and can eat with no pain, grooms herself now and plays like she never did before. I’m not a spokesperson for them but I certainly would be because not enough people are aware this is an option.

add some water using the food can to his wet food, hydrates and don't dilute the flavor too much. also, his coat has drastically improved!
