@apple.kell64742604: McCaysville, Georgia, has declared a local state of emergency due to severe flooding. Up to 10 inches of rain fell overnight, leading to road closures for safety. Towns along the Tennessee-Georgia border are now in recovery after Thursday’s record flooding. Polk County, Tennessee, also saw 8 to 10 inches of rain, pushing the Ocoee River to historic levels. Chattanooga’s swift water rescue team responded to rapidly rising rivers, assisting those caught in fast-moving rapids. This flooding impacts Colorado, Arizona, and now South Tennessee/North Georgia, resulting in lives lost, homes destroyed, and places gone. #McCaysville #Flooding #Georgia #StateOfEmergency
