My daughter shared something with me recently that I haven't been able to stop thinking about. She said, “Mom, you're an eagle. Keep soaring. Crows will harass an eagle, but the eagle just keeps flying higher until the crows can't keep up.” What a beautiful reminder of how we should approach life! “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles...” — Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) You know, life has a way of bringing people into our lives who challenge our peace, hurt our hearts, betray our trust, and sometimes seem determined to pull us down. And our natural reaction is often to defend ourselves, fight back, or make sure everyone knows what happened. But I'm learning something. Not every battle deserves my attention. Not every wrong requires my retaliation. And not everyone who tries to pull me down deserves the power to keep me there. Sometimes we just have to keep soaring. That doesn't mean we pretend the hurt didn't happen. It doesn't mean we call wrong right, excuse bad behavior, or abandon healthy boundaries. It means we refuse to let someone else's actions determine who we become. We can recognize the wrong without becoming consumed by it. We can forgive without forgetting the lessons. We can stand for truth without surrendering our peace. And perhaps most importantly, we can choose to become better instead of bitter. I love that Isaiah doesn't tell us to rise in our own strength. It tells us that those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength. Our ability to rise above life's difficulties comes from HIM. 🙏 So when life gets noisy, when people disappoint you, when your heart is hurting, and when you're tempted to come down and fight battles that will only steal your joy... Remember the eagle. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Keep your heart right. Keep your character intact. And keep soaring. You don't have to bring anyone else down to rise above what they've done. You just have to trust God to give you the strength to keep going. And to my daughter, thank you for reminding your mama that sometimes the best response isn't to fight harder... It's to fly higher. ❤️🦅 #Isaiah4031 #KeepSoaring #RiseAbove #WingsAsEagles #ChooseGrace
