They tried to pull this on me too. I was one of the only radiologists comfortable doing light IR work at our community hospital. They had no weekend coverage and were literally transferring patients out for minor procedures. They practically begged me to cover weekends, so I demanded $6K per day plus RVUs for both IR and diagnostic studies. Now I make $10K–$15K per weekend day, sometimes $30K in two days. If the hospital can pay the fkin CFO $2 million a year to provide zero patient care, they can sure as hell pay a premium for someone actually taking care of patients.
