An elderly homeless man has touched hearts by using the little money he receives from begging to buy toys, clothes and blankets for the puppies beside him. He has very little to his name. But the puppies have soft bedding to rest on, clothes to wear and toys tucked beside them. The small comforts are easy to overlook. A blanket between a little body and the pavement. Something soft to curl up against. A toy that gives a puppy something to play with. Each one means someone thought about what they might need. His own circumstances are difficult, yet he still makes room for their comfort. The money strangers place in his hands becomes something he can offer the animals sharing his days. Looking at them resting beside him, it is hard not to notice the care in those details. Being homeless does not mean being without a heart. A person can lose the security of a home and still have tenderness to give. They can need help themselves and still notice when another living creature needs warmth, comfort or company. This man deserves to be seen with that same kindness. So do the puppies beside him. He cannot give them a big house or a yard full of toys. But there are blankets beneath them, small comforts around them and someone staying close. He has little to his name. Still, he has made room in his life for them.
