@thetelegraph: Can a shotgun help protect soldiers from deadly drone attacks? Hamish de Bretton-Gordon joins the British Army on Salisbury Plain to put the weapon to the test. He also explains why it could save lives on the battlefield.

Josh :

Drones fly at 100-250 mph and don’t hover like that often

barryhill54 :

Clay pidgeon shooting will now be part of basic training.

Raul Loya965 :

Small detail. He was a Cook in the Army. 😳 Bloody Hell.

Col :

Now try doing it when you've not had sleep for over 36 hrs, dehydrated, hungary as f##k, sopping wet and freezing your tits off.

Charliebfarlie :

I think that the colonel expected it to be as easy as shooting a quartering-away pheasant 😂

Fin :

Suddenly game and clay shooting is very valuable

terryredmond1978 :

Fucking Dad's Army 😂

Nik "The RedBaron" :

knew i remembered him from somewhere 😂😂

just_doitalready :

This is a very good Test. The conclusion of this experiment gets a bigger gun that spreads far greater area and farther from your position. This demonstrated that in the heat of the moment that Close proximity is too late.

Jack Reach around :

so..not great

novagaming77ni 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 :

Surely u don’t need a special shot gun any decent calibre should be enough

wheels :

Not a Sargent major then!

2006.honda.accord :

Honestly skeet shooting gets a lot easier the more you do it. Definitely a sport that requires a lot of feel/practice. Once you get a good feel for lead etc it’s rather easy (clay pigeons at least). One thing i don’t get is putting sights on the shotgun. You don’t really aim a shotgun with the sights is my point

Phil :

and you posted this

DaveBingBong :

ive seen enough, put him in charge of the British army

MM :

the drones don't fly like that in combat from the videos I've seen 👀

MK455 :

H̶o̶t̶s̶h̶o̶t̶ Coldshot Hamish

yourpasswordisincorrect :

Salvation army??!

YoYo :

No Drones were harmed in the making of this video ....

dailyriseupmotivation :

AdastraTikTok :

Do you see?

Darren 22 :

what a joke.

Gareth Rowlands :

Narrator: the drone was not bulletproof

Tru Saxon :

Shotguns r great against drones , u gotta be a good shot , fpvs with payload can still travel 100metres in 3 seconds , you wont have much reaction time , even at 40 metres u are as risk of shrapnel, trust me drones r my enemy out here in donbass 😂

idk :
