@thesameerproject: Rain is expected in Gaza over the next three days. For families in The Sameer Project’s medical camps, the injured and sick in other camps across Gaza, the fear is immediate. If water starts rising inside your tent and you can’t get out of bed on your own, how do you get to dry ground? Across Gaza, people who use wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers are asking themselves what they’ll do when the rain comes. How do you push a wheelchair through mud? How do you move someone in severe pain who’s recovering with an external fixator or metal plates? Who will be there to help in the middle of the night? We’re reinforcing tents and using sand to raise the ground beneath shelters in low-lying areas so water is less likely to pool inside. We need to do as much of this work as we can before the rain hits. Give to The Sameer Project’s Rebuild Gaza Campaign today. Help us keep families dry through the coming rain.
