this would be a stupid change. Sometimes you decide based on business needs what to pay but this depends on the applicants amount of expertise and experience which you may not fully uncover until later on in the process

The employer holds all the cards because they take all the risk, basic income I guess can be made public but a more experienced roll should be confidential. Discussion of salary can destroy a company, a great employer will always recognise quality, commitment, loyalty, going above and beyond and in turn the salary will reflect that. Gender doesn’t matter as long as you are able to carry out your duties. 🫡
